Recognition: The 2022 MarCom Awards recognizes Q&A with three Golds and an Honorable Mention.

Q&A’s work for the 2021 Seattle Queer Film Festival, CHERISH, and the Sibling Support Project were recognized by the MarCom Awards.

About the Projects

A gold award went to the poster designed for the 2021 Seattle Queer Film Festival. The creative utilizes a classic filmmaker motif showcasing inked type inside hands framing a scene. Stark white flanks a sprocketed-edge pride flag for an eye-catching instant read.

The design was used for print & digital marketing—as well as motion.

The website designed for CHERISH also garnered a gold award. CHERISH is at the forefront of infant and toddler mental health. Helping them communicate their message while creating a warm, welcoming portal was paramount. We created an image collection reflecting positive outcomes and a much-needed dose of joy. Top-level messaging reflected big ideas. Testimonials supported successes. We further funneled content into 3 audience channels to quickly guide users to pertinent content & reduce information overload. The result was a fresh, easy-to-use website.

And an honorable mention went to the Sibling Support Project logo. The Sibling Support Project was the first organized program to address concerns of siblings to those with special health, developmental, and mental health concerns. This international organization is dedicated entirely to recognizing and promoting the important roles that siblings play in their families and communities, as well as creating opportunities for brothers and sisters of all ages to receive the information and resources they need to support their families and themselves.

After 30 years, the Sibling Support Project was ready to refresh their identity and create a strong presence that seamlessly married into their parent org, Kindering. Q&A narrowed in on the concept of monumental strength achieved when people come together—forming a structure that uplifts and provides stability for those who may need help navigating their role within their family and community. Letterforms were altered to create an architectural framework that nestles and hugs the typography, while modified “i’s” are a nod the individuals supported from childhood on through adulthood.
