Quesinberry and Associates received an Honorable Mention by Graphis magazine for the Poster designed to promote Seattle’s 2022 TRANSlations Film Festival. This marks the 10th recognition Q&A has received from this prestigious international magazine.
About the Project
TRANSlations is one of only a few transgender film festivals worldwide. The primary audience is LGBTQ+ and allies—with a hopeful wider film enthusiast reach. The creative was influenced by a desire for love & acceptance of everyone as they are. We worked with an illustrator to create a fluid image of growth & beauty. Type was hand-drawn, reinforcing the uniqueness of the event. A diverse festival committee provided important feedback throughout the design process to help examine & assess how imagery could be interpreted, allowing us to ultimately land on a design that was fully embraced.
