More from “every frame a painting.”

The brilliant Tony Zhou is is no longer making new essays. And until he returns with new content let us visit the occasions when Vancouver never plays itself.

Look at that! Jackie Chan is battling gangs in the Bronx. With those famous snow capped peaks of the Manhattan Mountain Range in the background.

Or look at that. Agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder drive to the downtown Seattle FBI federal building with the Space Needle plopped square in... the middle of Elliot Bay, I guess?

And Haaaavard Yaaard in Fringe, again nestled in front of those famous snow capped Massachusetts Mountains.

All those of course shot in Vancouver BC. But why is it that one of the most gorgeous cities on earth, Vancouver BC, rarely if ever plays itself?

And until Tony Zhou comes back let Thomas Flight scratch that itch for you.
