We use Adobe InDesign for pretty much everything these days. It might be tantamount to sacrilege to say but I much prefer ID to Illustrator 90% of the time for graphic creation, because, well … PASTE INSIDE (hello Adobe? Why do insist on that ridiculous masking nonsense? Ugh.).
Anyway. That is not to say InDesign doesn’t have many, many limitations and flaws. But dear fellow design professional I am about to make your day much better. Not me specifically but another InDesign professional named Keith Gilbert. This dood is brilliant. And he has, through the grace and goodness of his heart, created a number of scripts for... so much. Just check them out for yourself. And if you can hire this guy. He does training’s and much more.
